How has a week flown by so quickly?! It seems like it was only five minutes ago that I was waking up on Monday morning, resenting the week of work ahead, and now it’s only one more day until the weekend – yippee!

I think it’s probably gone so quick as it feels like all I’ve done is get up, go to work, come home, eat dinner, and go to bed. There’s definitely a second wave of pregnancy tiredness which is setting in meaning that I’m no good for anything most nights. It doesn’t help that I’ve been getting up earlier than usual to drop Little Pickle’s Dad (LPD) off at the train station in the morning and picking him up after work too. I quite like us leaving the house together and although I moan about the 6.15am alarm (pregnancy prerogative, right?) I’d rather take him to the station in the car as he’s been suffering with a horrible cough and cold so want to focus on him getting 100% better before he starts to cycle again. Poor LPD.

Orange and yellow flowers

I started the week with these gorgeous flowers from LPD, bless him.

This week also saw us celebrate the fact we’ve made it through 9 months of marriage together! LPD decided to mark this milestone with a bunch of flowers and a packet of Mini Eggs, which I was very grateful for. In fact, in this photo, you can just about make out a couple of coasters which were handmade by one of my bridesmaids using photos from our wedding. I love handmade things!

Pickle is the size of… a baseball hat, apparently. Can I ask a question about these size comparisons to anyone that knows? Is the thing your baby’s size compared to a comparison of the LENGTH of your baby or the VOLUME of your baby (if you get what I’m saying)? It’s never really made clear. I can definitely feel that Pickle is getting bigger and these gorgeous kicks and wriggles get stronger and move around!

In case you’re wondering… I think backward hat kind of kid, in that awkward can’t quite pull it off way.

I’m feeling… like I want time to fast forward! I don’t know if that’s the effects of definitely being back to work after the Christmas break, but I have really been counting down the days and weeks until Pickle arrives. It’s funny because as much as I wish time would speed up, I also know it’ll probably go far too fast for my liking anyway and I’ll soon be nearing the due date and wondered where the time went… You can’t win can you?

This morning sickness feeling has been persisting but still no actual sickness. And I’m starting to feel big again. After saying last week that I was getting used to the bigger belly, I think Pickle’s had a growth spurt that’s thrown me off balance again! Best start getting used to this…!

I’m craving… Milkybar yoghurts. Not sure if this is my first real pregnancy craving or whether being pregnant is just a very convenient excuse for eating things I wouldn’t usually allow myself to… but regardless, can’t get enough of these this week!

Milkybar Yoghurts

Two of these yoghurts is an acceptable breakfast, isn’t it?

I’m worrying about… wetting myself. You may laugh, but a couple of times this week I’ve felt like I have. Turns out I’m not actually weeing my pants (knew those pelvic floor exercises were worth it), but experiencing some incredibly watery discharge. Not the loveliest of things to talk about but apparently it’s fairly common so if you’re reading this as someone who has been or is pregnant, I’m sure you know what I’m on about. I plan to write about this in a bit more detail as I think it’s important (gosh, bet you all can’t WAIT for that blog post!) but needless to say, I think it’s all fine down there.

I’m missing… having a wide wardrobe of clothes to choose from. There is now a real limit on the clothes I can fit into and there’s only so much budget a woman can spend on maternity items. Although, I suppose I’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to have more of a capsule wardrobe! Here’s my chance.

Right, Week 22… I’m ready for you now.
